Fighting the Fat

Since November 2009 I have been attending Weight Watchers to aide my weight loss journey. I am still on that journey having lost 1 stone 2lb's so far and still have 4 stone to go. There are many things that motivate me to lose the weight, some of the biggest things were being asked to be a bridesmaid at my friends wedding and also having my brothers wedding to attend. Despite these goals there are still times when I forget how important the weight loss is to my health and general well being and all I really want to do is 'say blow' it and eat a whole chocolate cake and lots of ice cream! There are thousands of reasons why I should lose weight and none for why I shouldn't. This blog is to help keep me focused on my goal and motivated to get there. You never know it may help inspire some of you too!

Reason 1.

Generally feeling healthier.... being over weight brings with it a lot of health problems, including heart burn, digestion problems, being hot (and a little bit sweaty!) almost all of the time, possible heart problems and the risk of diabetes.

Luckily I can say I don't at the moment have any of the more serious health worries, but I am constantly concerned that if I stay over weight I will develop more problems that are irreversible.

Losing weight will give me the best chance to be the healthiest that I can be.
